Synopsis:
Set against the chaos of a Manchu invasion, the film follows Nam-yi, a gifted archer haunted by the childhood trauma of witnessing his father’s execution while fleeing royal persecution with his sister Ja-in. Thirteen years later, as peace briefly smiles upon them through Ja-in’s impending marriage, war erupts again, leaving their foster family slaughtered and Ja-in captured by the Qing forces. Driven by guilt and love, Nam-yi embarks on a relentless pursuit into enemy territory, using his extraordinary archery skills to ambush soldiers, infiltrate the Manchu camp, and ignite chaos to free his sister. Hunted by the ruthless commander Jyuushinta, Nam-yi survives brutal chases, personal losses, and near-fatal encounters, culminating in a tragic final confrontation where he sacrifices his life to save Ja-in. As Nam-yi dies, his final wish is for his sister to return home, leaving Ja-in and her husband to cross back into their homeland, carrying his legacy of courage, love, and sacrifice.
